Curator's statement
Forest Deep works in layers. Trunks and canopy stack into receding planes, light filters down in shafts rather than floods, and the greens go from near-black to almost gold. The effect is enclosure rather than vista — the feeling of being inside something larger and older.
Design philosophy
Layered receding planes, filtered rather than direct light, enclosure over vista.
Colour system
Deep pine, moss, fern, near-black green, filtered gold, bark brown.
Shape language
Stacked trunks, canopy layers, shafts of light, receding depth.
Composition
Every piece must be a genuinely original composition. No imitation of an identifiable artist's distinctive style, no reproduction of an existing artwork, and never derived from another DALFASTART artwork.
